About Us
DESIGNGEORGIA is a non-profit organization, representing Georgian product and interior designers.
Design Georgia was founded in 2019 by four well known Georgian product and interior design- and architectural studios. They joined a vision of being the industry voice advocating for a deeper understanding of product design’s value. Aim is to motivate already established design community and newcomers for further creativity.
The members of Design Georgia represent a strong expertise in product- and interior design, ceramics and fashion. They act on the Georgian design landscape for over 15 years, gaining international attention on exhibitions, i.e. in Milan, Copenhagen, Tallinn. Their products and designs were published in international design magazines and also awarded with international design awards.
Design Georgia creates visual platforms, live exhibitions and online galleries to achieve higher recognition of design as a driver for growth. The strengthening of capabilities for Georgian Design to meet future needs and trends in combination with the promotion of networks to improve the business opportunities among designers and production companies are upon other terms principal duties of Design Georgia.
Designbureau
Designbureau was formed in 2004 by three friends Nia Mgaloblishvili, Ia Liparteliani and Sophio Shevardnadze. Their main areas of expertise includes architecture, interior design, product design and branding. Designbureau’s achievements have been recognized with various international awards. Designbureau is creating design products with magic. The designers let chairs fly and cupboards catch the dreams. The designers work like artists, painting their design products.
XYZ Integrated Architecture
Design studio XYZ Integrated Architecture was founded in 2013 in Tbilisi by Levan Lominashvili, a Red ot awarded designer. The company’s main activities include architectural services, the creation of interior- and design objects and items for the fashion industry. Levan`s work has been published in leading international print- and online magazines, catalogues and books. The famous TV channel LUX TV dedicated a special story to the enterprise. The company regularly participates in international exhibitions. In 2015 it received the German Design Award and in 2018 received the A’Design Award. His works often break with conventional rules and stereotyp.
Anuka Tavartkiladze
Anuka Tavartkiladze is an independent product designer. She is born in Tbilisi, Georgia, graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts with a master degree and with a master degree in interior design in “Florence institute of design international”. Since 2010 she has been working in architecture company Mosulishvili & Partners as an architect and interior designer. In 2013 she created her first product titled “Easel Mirror”. She is challenging herself with creation objects that reflects functional, social, environmental and aesthetic considerations. Her architectural skills materialize in her design with strict lines and forms.
Funduki
This family business Artist Studio Funduki is producing eco-friendly DIY furniture with no use of glue or screws. Chairs, stools, shelves and tables are assembled and dismantled like pieces of a puzzle. They come flat-packed. Besides the furniture, Funduki offers very interesting souvenirs, all natural, and colorful t-shirts and tote bags, rompers and jackets with Funduki’s original prints.
